Internet Vikings International AB (“Internet Vikings, “we, “our” or “us”)

value and respect your privacy. We always seek to collect and process your personal data responsibly with due care for your integrity and rights. This privacy policy describes how we process your personal data and your rights, as a customer or representative of a customer, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR.

You will be required to provide us with your personal data, as set out in this privacy policy, in order for us to enter into an agreement with you and to perform our obligations in such an agreement. Internet Vikings process personal data with respect to the following services we provide:

  •         SET Sites services.

Internet Vikings process the following categories of personal data. These categories of personal data are mainly provided directly by you. However, they may be provided by another representative of our customer (i.e. your employer or colleague), event companies, or networking organisations.

  • Correspondence. E.g. personal data included in our written or oral correspondence.
  • Profession. E.g. your role at the company you are representing.

Internet Vikings process your personal  for the following purposes and by using the following categories of personal data (as set out in Section “What personal data do we process?”):

  • Provide the services.
  • Manage your account.

Administration and improvement of services

  • Document what has been discussed and decided between us.

What are the legal bases for our processing?

Internet Vikings process your personal data on the following legal bases:

Performance of the services

  • Agreement. Depending on the nature of the matter and whether you are an existing customer or not, the processing may be necessary for the performance of a contract with you or in order to take steps at your request prior to entering a contract.

 Administration and improvement of services

  • Agreement. If you are an existing customer, processing for the purpose of administrating the agreement will be necessary for the performance of a contract with you.
  • Compliance with a legal obligation. Compliance with the Swedish Accounting Act.
  • Legitimate interest. Depending on the nature of the matter and whether you are an existing customer or not, the processing may be based on our legitimate interest to administrate and improve the services. E.g. we may have a legitimate interest to respond to your queries, or to document any understandings between us, or to protect us from legal claims or enforce our legal rights, or to improve our services and quality assurance.

 Marketing

  • Legitimate interest. If you have not actively requested marketing, our legitimate interest is to provide the marketing.

Who might we share your personal data with?

Internet Vikings share your personal data with the categories of recipients and for the purposes listed below. The specific recipients we share your personal data with, depend on which services you use.

  • Group companies (such as Internet Vikings Ltd.). In order for us to be able to provide the services. 
  • IT-service providers. In order for us to be able to provide the services.
  • Contractors. In order for us to be able to provide the services.
  • Authorities. If required in accordance with the law.

 We only share personal data once we have taken all reasonable contractual, technical, and organisational measures to ensure that your personal data is treated in accordance with applicable law and with an adequate level of protection.

How do we store personal data?

Internet Vikings securely store your data at data centers in Sweden.  

Internet Vikings will keep your personal data for during the time you are a customer with us and thereafter for 5 years. Personal data that we are required to process in accordance with the Swedish Accounting Act will be stored for 7 years. Personal data that we process to protect us from legal claims or to enforce our legal rights will be processed for a period subject to the statute of limitations, which typically is 10 years from the time the claim arose. As these time periods expire, we will delete your personal data.

Do we process your personal data outside the EU/EEA?

Internet Vikings always seek to process your personal data within the EU/EEA. Under certain circumstances, such as when your personal data is shared with a consultant located outside the EU/EEA, your personal data may be transferred and processed in a location outside the EU/EEA. In such cases, we ensure that an adequate level of protection is maintained and that appropriate safeguards are adopted in accordance with the GDPR, such as entering into the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, which are available at the European Commission’s website.

What are your rights?

The right to be informed – You have the right to at any time request information on Internet Vikings collection and use of your personal data.

The right to access – You have the right to request Internet Vikings for copies of your personal data.

The right to rectification – You have the right to request that Internet Vikings correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request Internet Vikings to complete the information you believe is incomplete.

The right to erasure – You have the right to request that Internet Vikings erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that Internet Vikings restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to Internet Vikings’ processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to object direct marketing – You have the right to object against Internet Vikings’ direct marketing.

The right to data portability – You have the right to request that Internet Vikings transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

The right to withdraw your consent – If you have given your consent to a certain processing, you have the right to withdraw the consent at any time. A withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before the withdrawal. We may not further carry out the processing in question should you withdraw your consent, unless the processing may rely on another legal basis. 

The right to complain – You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority should you consider that Internet Vikings do not process your personal data in accordance with the GDPR or applicable data protection legislation.
